Fluoride can be an important part of preventing tooth decay in patients of all ages. During your visit, we will determine your risk for dental decay by discussing your diet, home care, previous decay history, illnesses and prescription medications. Fluoride treatment can be done in the office, or at home.
In the office: Treatment can be done during your regular exam using a tray with gel or foam fluoride. A more highly concentrated fluoride varnish that is brushed onto your teeth can also be used.
At home: Options for fluoride treatment include prescription toothpastes or a daily rinse. It is important to follow all recommendations made by your dentist and to also be aware of the fluoride levels in your water.
Oral cancer can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated early. Progressive Dental provides oral cancer screenings as part of your regular dental exam. There are two main risk factors for oral cancer. Smoking and tobacco use are long-term historic causes of oral cancer. In addition, the HPV-16 virus, a sexually-transmitted disease, is resulting in the fastest-growing segment of oral cancer patients being young, healthy, nonsmoking individuals.
When found early, oral cancers have an 80 to 90 percent survival rate. Dentists can be a first line of defense in identifying abnormalities in the mouth, which could be a sign of oral cancer.

I have been a patient of Progressive Dental since 2013. I have always received exceptional dental care, from my cleanings with Janina, and routine dental exams, fillings, or crowns, with Dr Rao.
It is a very friendly place. Very detailed with exams. Very patient with patients and listens to what they are concerned about. The office and exams rooms look very cleaned.
Had my first visit today, I currently don’t have insurance but they offer an in-house plan they offer for $89 a year. It includes a discount of 15%-35% off of services, which is worth it, to me. I called at least five dentist offices due to having a chipped tooth to get prices, while they were the third lowest rate, just for a consultation/exam, I felt like it was the best value. I got x rays & an exam & Dr. Rao fixed my chipped tooth right then & there! I honestly was expecting to make another appointment for that. When I checked out, I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning & I do need to get an appointment for some cavities to be fixed, but they weren’t pushy about me scheduling (one of my biggest pet peeves!). I’m very impressed with the services received. I would highly recommend this office for all dental needs.
